Ames MPF™ Kits (Semi-Solid) Ships at Room Temperature
The Ames MPF™ Semi-Solid assays are modified versions of the Ames test using semi-solid(ships at room temperature) culture instead of agar plates. The assays are based on the fluctuation method cited in the OECD Guideline 471 but use 384-well microtiter plates and have a colorimetric read-out. The great advantage of this format is the lower amount of sample needed and much easier handling. The Ames MPF™ assays use TA98 and/or TA100, TA1535, TA1537. All these tester strains are recommended in the current, formal test guidelines.
Ames UmuC Easy AQ and UmuC Easy CS Test Kits
The UmuC Easy AQ and UmuC Easy CS – SOS response test kits for assessing genotoxic activity Xenometrix AG, Ready-to-use kits for the detection of potentially genotoxic compounds by induction of the SOS response in Salmonella typhimurium TA1535 [pSK1002].
Ames MPF™ 98-100 Aqua Testing
The novel Ames MPF™ 98/100 AQUA is designed to detect the mutagenic potential of non-concentrated water samples. The assay allows to use 18.5 times more sample volume than with the conventional Ames MPF™ 98/100 for testing of chemical compounds thanks to a 10-fold concentrated Exposure Medium. The assay uses S. typhimurium TA98 and TA100 strains and may be used for the testing of sterile aqueous solutions, such as fresh water, waste water, aqueous extracts and leachates, aqueous solutions of chemicals and chemical mixtures.
Ames MPF™ YG Test Kits
XenoScreen YES/YAS Assay Kits
XenoScreen YES/YAS Assay kit for the detection of estrogenic and androgenic endocrine disruptors.
The advantages of the XenoScreen YES/YAS assay kit are:
- YES (estrogen) and YAS (androgen) analysis in 1 kit.
- Simultaneous analysis of activating (agonist) and inhibiting (antagonist) activities.
- High sensitivity (YES: <1 x 10-10 M, YAS <1 x 10-9 M).
- Assay time: 48 hrs.
- Microplate format, colorimetric read-out.
- Step-by-step Instruction Manual for first-time success.
- Free customer support.

Analytical Services
Xenometrix has at its Allschwil facility a fully equipped laboratory for performing Ames MPF™ and Ames II Mutagenicity Assays for customers. Chemicals will be accepted to perform the required assays, interpret data and produce detailed reports. The staff is fully trained in all aspects of the liquid Ames microplate assays, making for a very efficient and cost-effective process. Depending upon answers to a client's questionnaire, detailed reports are likely to be completed within 7 days. However, data can be communicated immediately upon assay completion (3 days).
The Ames II™ |
 |
|
Mutagenicity Assay, in liquid micro plate format, is a modification of the traditional Ames Plate Incorporation Assay and the Mini-Ames test. The Ames II™ test reduces hands-on time and also uses much less of the test compound than the regular Ames or Mini-Ames tests.
- Microplate format
- Ready-to-use reagents
- Less hands-on time
- Significantly lower amount of test compound
- Automatable for high throughput screening
- Six fold less plastic ware, reduced disposal costs
